inner—stellar is built with the belief that your personal data — especially something as intimate as your birth details and life reflections — deserves real care. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and who else touches it.

We wrote this in plain language because we want you to actually understand it.

what we collect

When you use inner—stellar, we collect and store:

Account info — your email address and name (if you provide one), used for signing in and personalizing your experience
Birth details — your date, time, and place of birth, used to calculate your astrology and Human Design charts
Conversations — the messages you exchange with our AI guide, including any insights you save or pin
Charts — your astrology and Human Design charts, calculated from your birth date, time, and location
Focus areas — topics you tell us you want to explore (e.g. career, relationships, growth), plus any additional context you share about yourself
Creations — structured reflections, routines, or affirmations generated from your conversations that you choose to save
Waitlist signup — if you signed up on our website before creating an account, we collected your email address to notify you when the app launched

how your data is used

Your data is used for one purpose: giving you a personalized inner—stellar experience. Specifically:

Your birth date, time, and location are used to calculate your astrology and Human Design charts
Your conversations, focus areas, and chart data are used to provide relevant AI guidance
Your email is used to send you account-related messages (like a welcome email)

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with data brokers. Full stop.

third-party services

To make inner—stellar work, some of your data is processed by third-party services. We want to be transparent about this:

AI guidance — when you chat with your guide, your messages and chart data are processed by a third-party AI model (Google Gemini) to generate personalized responses. This data is sent through a secure API solely to provide your guidance — it is not sold and not shared with advertisers.
Chart calculations — your birth date, time, and location coordinates are sent to third-party astrology and Human Design services to calculate your chart placements. This data is necessary to generate accurate charts.
Location search — when you search for your birth city, the search query is sent to a geocoding service to find coordinates.
Email — your email address and first name are shared with an email delivery service to send transactional messages like your welcome email.
Authentication — your sign-in credentials are managed through a secure authentication system, with auth tokens stored securely on your device. If you sign in with Google, Google processes your authentication — we receive only your email and name, not your Google password.

We do not send your data to any services beyond those listed above. No ad networks, no data brokers.

data storage & security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS)
Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain
All API keys and secrets are stored server-side — they are never exposed in the app

your rights & controls

You have full control over your data:

Export your data — you can export your conversations, insights, and profile information at any time from within the app
Delete your account — you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time. This removes everything: your profile, all conversations, all messages, all charts, all saved insights, and all creations. This action is irreversible.

When you delete your account, we delete your data from our servers. We cannot guarantee immediate deletion from third-party services that may have processed your data (such as AI model providers), but we do not retain copies ourselves.

what we don't do

We don't sell your personal information
We don't run ads or share data with advertisers
We don't access your camera, contacts, location, or calendar.
We don't share your email address with third parties for marketing

children's privacy

inner—stellar is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we will update this page and notify you through the app. We won't quietly change the rules.
